Trantex anticorrosion system: External Tape 39 mils

Caracteristics
"Black color tape with 39.4 mils of thickness, manufactured with an asphalted paper backing and no adhesive. Due to the asphalt that it contains, it adheres to itself and to the tape. The pipe gets protected by winding the tape in a spiral, after applying the internal tape Trantex 22. When applied, both tapes became a strong, hermetic and permanent seal, protecting steel pipes against corrosion. This product is also known as “Papel Krafaltico” and has excellent durability."

Applications
The main purpose of this external tape is to mechanically protect the internal tape against impacts and accidentally scratches that may occur to the pipe during construction, welding or burying.
